Well done to all our teams and staff who travelled to Carlow on Thursday 27th for our interschools league matches versus Wexford.

Senior Soccer

Well done to our senior soccer team managed by Mr.Johnston. Our soccer team drew 1-1 with Wexford. It was a very close match which could have went either way. Mikey C finished off an excellent team goal to draw the match back level for Portlaoise in the second half. Portlaoise now are top of the table and are favourites to win the senior soccer league for a third year in a row.

Senior Basketball

Well done to our senior basketball team who were narrowly defeated by a few baskets by a very strong and experienced Wexford team. Well done to the coach Ms.Byrne on all the hard work and training.

Rings

Hard luck to our rings team who were coached by Ms.Fingleton, who were defeated by Wexford in a very close competition. Well done to James on his first competitive rings match for St.Francis.

Table Tennis

A huge congratulations to our table tennis team who are top of the table. St.Francis easily overcame a young Wexford team. St. Francis players; Aoife, Joe & D.J won all their games in style. Well done to Ms.Mulroe & Ms. Fitzgerald the team coaches.
